I’ve had the honor of designing two locations for this family: Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and The Hamptons. Two distinct places, but each space had similar goals: soothing, harmonious spaces. In the Hamptons, I wanted to retain a certain in-town sophistication that balanced with what one expects from a summer (and winter) home at the beach. The result is a tufted blue linen alongside a large wooden coffee table that resembles driftwood. Shell fossils, braided rope stools and burlap complete the experience.
